Dr. MARK BRAUND

Dr Mark Braund has been practicing dentistry since graduate from Sydney University with honours in 1995. Marks first foray into dentistry was as a Dental Officer in the RAAF. Here Mark worked in close contact with some of the countries top specialists doing best practice dentistry. From here Mark completed a Medical Degree, again at Sydney University, and worked in a high end practice in Sydney's Southern Suburbs.

At this point Mark fell in love with dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry, so much so that he gave up medicine to concentrate on his new Hunters Hill dental practice.

Mark has traveled extensively; studying Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry brinaina knowledge from the world's leading cosmetic and implant hubs (mostly California) to his practices in Sydney. It is Marks philosophy that if the science of dentistry is married to an artistic eye and gentle and skilful hands a comfortable experience with the utmost desired results can be achieved.

Mark loves spending time with his wife Natalie and their young sons Luke, Angus and Charles and has a passion for sports and his naughty dogs. Cricket can always be found on the plasma television above the dental chairs in the summer months (much to the nurses' frustration) Dr Braund is available at Macquarie Street on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at our Hunters Hill practice on Tuesday and Thursday.

Dr. DANIEL ADAMO

Dr Daniel Adamo graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

The next 2 years saw Daniel working in private practice in Five Dock where an interest in implant dentistry was spawned.

However in 1998, Daniel moved to the UK in order to broaden both his personal and professional experience. Stints in the midlands and South West England proved invaluable in engraving a full appreciate of general dentistry and treating a huge and varied patient base. A special interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry as well as oral surgery prompted a return form overseas as Daniel enrolled again at the University of Sydney, the result of which was graduation in a Diploma in Clinical dentistry specializing in oral implants in 2000. This knowledge along with his previous grounding in the field formed the basis from which other areas of expertise grew. These include overseas courses on connective tissue and gingival grafting sinus lift procedure and hard tissue regeneration and grafting. All this whilst maintaining a general and family based practice.

August 2004 saw the opening of Dental Lounge's first practice in Hunters Hill which was founded in conjunction with Dr Mark Braund. Daniel's aim, now along with our Macquarie St practice is to provide all aspects of dentistry with excellence.

The dentists and staff strive to provide general and family dentistry at the highest level. With the number of cases now in the hundreds, Dr's Adamo & Braund are highly experienced in all facets of soft tissue and hard tissue contouring resulting in the most perfect cosmetic result possible.

Daniel's simple goal is to make Dental Lounge the most comfortable, easy and non-confronting clinic available. In other words - "the best experience possible".

Aside from dentistry, Daniel has a keen interest in an active lifestyle, all sports and a love of his family. Not in that order!

Dr. MARK KILLEN

Dr Mark Killen graduated from the University of New South Wales with an honours degree in Science, Majoring in Pathology. Mark then went on to complete his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at Sydney University also graduating with honours.

After graduating, Mark spent his first few years working in public health clinics in Sydney and the south coast whilst working part time at Dental Lounge.

Mark has attended numerous courses on the use of lasers and provides the option of laser dentistry in patients where possible.

Cutting edge technology has enabled the team at Dental Lounge to provide long lasting and strong alternatives to regular fillings. Mark has completed many cases in the use of CEREC –all ceramic restorations. This provides his patients with the most cost effective restoration available today, and allows him to protect & preserve your own tooths structural integrity emphasising his contribution to Minimal Intervention Dentistry.

Marks commitment keeps him up-to-date with the latest studies and teachings in dentistry. This has included spending time by teaching dental students as a clinical educator with the University of Sydney. In 2006 Mark was proud to join the Dental Lounge team full time and is available for appointments Monday to Saturday at our Hunters Hill Surgery.

Dr. SAM MARTIN

Dr Martin was born in Armidale and Attended St Josephs College in 1994. From Hunters Hill, he moved back to Armidale and completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of New England. Throughout his science degree he resided at St Alberts College where he was a senior academic advisor giving tutorials in microbiology and genetics.

After completion of his Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney he started work at Dental Lounge Hunters Hill, and then later at Macquarie St.

Sam enjoys learning about new equipment and technology, especially ceramics and related materials. He is a firm believer in continuing education dentists and attends courses regularly throughout the country and overseas.

Sam has a very gentle and relaxed attitude about life which he brings into his caring for patients of all ages. He is available from Monday to Saturday in both Macquarie St and Hunters Hill practices.

Dr. GAMER VERDIAN

Gamer studied Medical Science at the University of NSW after which he completed his Bachelor of Dentistry degree at the University of Sydney on a sports scholarship for basketball.

Gamer is an avid believer in Microscope enhanced dentistry. He has completed numerous post-graduate courses in micro-dentistry and is an expert in the use of an operating microscope for all dental procedures.

Gamer's easy going nature, patience, dedication to his work, and a gentle hand are all necessary for providing patients with an easy, painless and enjoyable dental experience.

Gamer has a particular interest in Cosmetic dentistry, Laser Dentistry and Endodontics.

Gamer has a pronounced dedication to continued education. He has travelled to the USA, Japan and Europe and completed numerous hours of postgraduate courses to improve the care he provides his patients.

When away from work Gamer is almost always on a basketball court or riding his motorbike.

Dr. DAVID FARRINGTON

Dr David Farrington was born in Sydney's inner west and attended Sydney Boys' High. After a year abroad he studied a Bachelor of Medical Science at Sydney University before gaining admission to Sydney University's Dental School. He graduated winning the Silver medal for Professionalism and Proficiency in all Clinical Aspects of Final Year Bachelor of Dentistry.

Dave was introduced to the Dental Lounge team whilst helping Dr Martin organise the Dental Rugby team. He played rugby for Drummoyne before finding a new passion in Surfboat Rowing for Bronte, where he is a lifesaver.

Dave is proud to bring his passion and energy to the team at Hunters Hill, where he is available Monday to Saturday. He has a keen eye and gentle hands, and enjoys the artistic aspects of Dentistry.

NATALIE BRASSELL

Natalie is our practice Manager of our Macquarie street surgery and has been part our dynamic team since 2005. Natalie has worked in the dental industry for over 10 years and her vast dental knowledge has made her an asset to Dental lounge. Natalie enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but particularly loves cosmetic dentistry. Natalie is currently studying for her Diploma of Practice management at the University of New England. Natalie's practical, caring and bubbly personality makes you feel at ease as soon as she greats you, Natalie strives to make your experience at dental Lounge a pleasant one.

TARA WEBSTER

Tara has over 7 years experience in the dental industry and has had various roles starting as a nurse then moving onto dental radiography and currently working on practice development and management. Tara's aim is to provide all of our patients with the highest level of care.
