Sometimes, a standard resin filling isn't the right one for the job. That's when your dentist might suggest a Ceramic restoration. These are amazing. Both strong and flexible, they can be made while you're in the chair, by an ADCAM (computer aided design for computer aided manufacture) system. Early studies (involving the earliest machines) revealed these ceramic restorations possessed 95% of the strength of an uncut tooth, with a 10-year survival rate greater than 90%.
